You would have to be on a cheats-enabled server.

I have a file that will remove both spec bars. It does not require any cheats.

It will also remove the name and the team number stuff too.

Wile, do you want the whole HUD that renders every HUD element invisible?

Just in case...

REMOVED DOWNLOAD>>>> LOOK in the BELOW posts!!!!

It's a BETA and not tested more than 30mins and 3 on-line servers... seems to go OK :D

No problem Wile, can you test that...

The hud when removed does not remove and destroy custom skins?

I made some VTF's and VMT's to knock out the hands and sleeves, main gun for bazookas and riflemen on screen, I named them different than the standard one and put a special VMT in there with the new name inside it.

When uninstalled the custom player skin that was there before the hud was installed ...should come back as the uninstall will remove the 'invisible" type skins VMT and VTF for the hud.

Can you check that? Please :)

yup, like an idiot, i installed it directly into the file tree instead of first seeing what the files were

You should put something in the read_me about the fact that it will overwrite ALL your weapon VMT files!!!!!

Right now I'm running around trying to replace all my VMT files that were erased when I installed this. However, it did work. The uninstall did NOT return my old VMT files. It just erased the ones that it installed.

My suggestion is have the installer make back-ups of the pre-existing VMT's before it installs it's own.

I have not done that process before, making a back up before installs.

You have a custom VMT file for your skins, ( I have looked at one now) I was counting on skins that do not use the VMT file as I renamed the VTF file...then inserted that new name in the VMT telling it to find the new VTF file.

But I see what you mean, your Chrome Colt has extra entries in the VMT for that model. It knocks that special VMT out.

I'll research it a bit and see what code is available for NSIS as far as backups and restore of a directory/target install files.

EDIT: Download removed of this special HUD as I think it could be used as an exploit.

The spec' mod above remains.
