I'm not sure if arena maps are considered second class citizens around here, but I have taken my first steps toward DoD custom content with an arena map of my own. If anything it taught me a lot of the basics (read: practice) and will allow me to create better maps in the future. Oh yeah and I like the useless fun of hoping on an arena map for 15 minutes, fraging/capping and getting on with my day.

Its currently running* (w/ fast d/l's) at:

Name: ArenaNation.net 24/7 Arena Maps FTW!

IP: 70.252.235.222:27015

and

Name: The War Room **Day of Defeat Source**

IP:69.90.34.126:27015

* I have also been told that it is running on some euro servers, but I have yet to confirm this.

I would also like to take a second and promote my new site ArenaNation.net (http://www.arenanation.net/), which is the complement to the server above with the same name. I will be hosting arena map downloads there and also putting up some arena specific tutorials in the near future. If you would like to submit an arena map to the server or make a suggestion please send me an email: arenanation at gmail dot com

Thank you for any comments on baby blue and/or on the website!

Nothing wrong with some hot arena style action. I will give it a go.

Thanks for taking the time to make it.

You'll find out it really is an acquired taste. However if that map leads to more (and better) maps, then it was all worth it. Keep on working and in no time you'll be able to look back at this map and learn everything that was good and wrong with it.

What he said, good way to learn the basics! Would be great to see something a bit more "creative' on your next effort, keep on mapping.
