Hey all,
Started working on a new skin for the default m1 carbine, will be a full reskin. The wood is almost 100% and I've only just started on the metal. The map is 2048x2048.

getting there. Changed the wood to a darker redish colour, i think it just suits the carbine.

excellent work mate, i love your k98 skin as well, just a question, do you actually model your skins on the real weapons? or just what you think looks good.

usually try get it as close as possible to the real thing using ref pics but sometimes i can use a texture that i know will be similar to a variation of wood or metal on the real thing without using ref pics.

Worked on the metal some more, i think this one is coming along well. All the dark bits you see are the bits i havnt skinned yet.

nice carby, much improvement over your older carby which was really good too. good to see the white speckles on your previous skins have been tones down lots :D
