Okay, okay...don't get all worked up about this...yet..

Attached here is the README of the MP41 giving the correct credits...which is good although I believe should have consulted the authors if it was alright.

But the k98...no credits or nothin'..

*******s over at MOHAA have no respect for anyone here at our forums. It wont matter once HL2 comes out cause no game can come close to that....if you havent seen the 600MB preview video available at Fileplanet then you havent seen anything,

Anderson:

why should the MOHAA community give us any respect? we don't give them any.

and besides, whether you treat someone respectfully should not be contingent to their "video game allegiance".

but i agree that not giving proper credit for that kar98 is unacceptable.

Look at the conduct there. The thread that started this, the Carbine. Nobody says a word about who actually made it. They go and show a model to ppl and flat out refuse to release it, bad manners :p

Here you get nice lists of credits and readme files with credits in EVERY release with borrowed material. People show you their work. And ppl generally warmly respond to it.

So as to why... I think we are a more respectable community.

*points and laughs at the total lack of fixing of the pixel creep on that K98* See the pale blue on the back edges of the bolt assembly? Instead of black, whoever skinned that metal [I forget who it was, now] put pale blue around the bits they skinned.

How many of you have sent e-mails to the host guy about the K98?

I suggest we start putting stuff in the ReadMe's about our stuff not being made to be used in other games so we at least have something to take to the hosts, who should then take them down.

Holy ****! Thats suck sooo much ass! If someone stole some of my sprites, I would find out who they were. Then I would e-mail them with so many viruses, it would corrupt their harddrive forever! Finally, I would hack their comp and **** stuff up BIG time! But thats just me. Lol! :)

I may have been a little lax in asking permission to alter somebody elses models sometimes, but i ALWAYS gave full credit to them in a .TXT file with the model.

I mean really, how f'n hard is it for those MOH guys to also do that if a goddamn amateur like me can?? *******s...

The lesson was taught on an entirely different site to probably different people unassociated with that particular site. Not to mention the fact that the K98's probably been there since before AA.com got raided by DoD'ers. Add those two points together; how can you expect to be clued in on what we have to say? Are all of us aware of everything that happens on every DoD fan site? Is every DoD fan site aware of everything that happens here? Obviously not.
