I was wondering if the 'givecurrentammo' command works for anyone?
also, does anyone know of ANY way of spawning ammo? what about the give item_ammo_xx ? do ANY of those work?
If you know of ANY method of getting ammo (besides the in-game function, when you press 'h' ;)), even if it's via console, please let me know.

kinda old thread but I am currently trying to figure out the same thing. I've tried several entity names to try to give ammo but i just receive an error saying it doesnt exist. Maybe i just have the wrong entity name.

Anyone know?
