Hi Guys and Gals,

I've been away from the PC for a while due to holidays (and other family things).

I thought I'd take the time to release another version of the Tiger_detonation map. Dod_Tiger_detonation_b2

You can grab it here; (feel free to mirror, host and post too)

(File will auto find your Dod source maps directory, all files packed into BSP)

(The layout is the same as Dod_Tiger, but with Objectives instead of flags)



This version has the following changes to hopefully help out the teams in capping those last flags... boy are they a pain in the beta 1 version. LOL

FIXES

- Axis have an extra "Covered" area to Allies AA GUN

- New TNT det packs will appear closer to the AA GUNS after you have destroyed the first lot of Cap points

- Both Allies AA GUN and AXIS AA GUN have more cover and protection

- Spawn points have been moved back further

- All TNT packs around middle bridge can be picked up

- Either teams can now destoy some walls and doors where you see the outline of a TNT pack, this has opened up more ways to reach the Axis and Allies AA Guns

- Player clips have been added to roof areas where it was possible to get ontop of them

- A new doorway to reach the Axis alley way has been added to the map

I hope this works a little better than the beta 1 version. :)

One more known issue that will be fixed in beta 3 release (or the next might just become the final version):

Above Allies 2nd there is a wooden plank walkway with sheet metal as protection on it, the window entry at the other side is a little tricky to get into, you kind of need to crouch then jump to get through it.

I'll make the window wider in the next version.

I love this map. It has really intense gameplay, and even though it looks very tight it plays like a much larger map, with lots of possible routes to take. Beta 2's now taken over for Beta 1 on our server's vote-able map list. Great job, TGM! :cool:

-TGMHey TGM, yeah, I couldn't get through that window at all, either as Axis or Allies.

Also, not sure if you need so much crate-based cover for the Allies AA gun. I've been able to defend that really well in beta 1, just by proning next to the gun. Some cover is good but the crates in beta 2 look a little out of place. Maybe a low wall of sandbags (hmm...can you do a "partially collapsed" sandbag wall? that might look cool).

Last thing...the dark interiors seem to have gotten a lot darker between beta 1 and 2. Is that right? Seems like they should be a bit brighter in the next release.

All in all, though, I really enjoy the gameplay on this map...one of my favorite Source customs, for sure! :cool: :D
