[Rel] K98 & MP44

These two have been sitting on my PC for a couple of months now, and I can't seem to get around re-doing them completely as I had planned. So here they are, not complete reskins but sporting new wood textures, tweaks to the default parts and alpha, normal and phongagised mapzors.

v_models are 1024x1024 resolution, w_models are 512x512.

yeah that's pretty much how I had envisioned the phong shading to look like when I re-did a few of my skins. Good job.

Personally I think the wood on the stg44 is a tad too dark, but sweet job.

Well i'd say my long search for the ultimate k98 and mp44 skins are complete.

Thank god you exist Forral. Without you i'd be lost, we'd all be lost, lost like little children crying in the forest.

World models! Yay! Beautiful work there Forral!

Phong looks good, kind of similar to the extra subtle phong effects partially noticable on TF2 weapons in the latest trailer.

hey forral it would have been nice to leave in your credits that the base textures for the k98 were mine. All u did was highlight my skin and put in a new wood texture. everything else is baisicly the same dude.

I'm sure the metal is the default texture. I don't see what you're getting at.

However, the w_model texture IS yours, mixed up my files!

Very beautiful application of phong. Not at all overdone like most of the "phongised" defaults have been so far. If I had a half decent video card capable of actually displaying phong, I'd be all over that.

When you first released this, I said I'd just use the vtf file, because most phonged weapons just don't look right at all...overdone as F=ND3 said. You did it right, Forral. The effect looks believeable. Nice job and I hope you do this to the other weapons as well.:)
