Spilttertarn Axis
These are NOT mine. These are skins that were done by a guy named Nightslinger, using my skins as a base. This was originally part of a "class-based" pack, but those no longer work. Since I think this skin is very good (although I had stern things to say about him not mentioning me at all in the credits) and that many people would want to use it, I converted 2 of the skins to single use adding the new style exponent and normal maps, and completely re-packed the whole setup.

Euhm Wile, very very very nice skin.
But on that site you state
"And yes, this camo pattern was never used on uniforms. It would be classified by me as a "fantasy" skin"
Is this true ? Coz I really thought dat Fallschirmjäger used this kind of camo.
If not, what did they use ?
thxs a lot.

They used it, but as a smock. It was never a Tunic as far as I am aware of.

yeah, I put in the "read_me" that this pattern was primarily only used on tent halves and camo smocks. When I said uniform I meant the actual uniform (pants, shirt, tunic)

I don't really like Wehrmacht camo skins, but those are nice. Good job.

Everybody - this is a skin by Nightslinger (who reskinned my skin) - all I did was fix it to work with the new updates.

Sorry for the bump but I have to say this skin looks fantastic ingame! The phong goes perfect with it to. And I recently watched a call of duty 3 and they axis looks just like this on one of the clips.

This is actually available using the class-based system for which they were originally intended. Though the July update did initially stop such packs working, the issue was later fixed, and thus any class-based packs will once again work as they should. :D
As you can see, this is a very nice piece of work, a must have for Splinter Pattern fans! Also, as a side note, this is still historically accurate; though production tunics were not manufactured using this pattern, many were made locally in the field using Zeltbahn material. This was in fact, quite a common practice.
Download Here (http://www.dodskins2.de/Nightslingers_Splittertarn.zip) and Enjoy! ;)

When was this issue fixed? I've seen nothing about it.

Well to be honest I never even noticed a problem with the July update, I had Wile's Early War Pack installed and it never stopped working. Right now I have the above installed and that also works as it should, so I'm assuming it was fixed shortly after the aforementioned update.

Ahh..that's it. They may work, but I bet the phong still doesn't work with class-based packs.
EDIT: Wile E. still isn't in the credits...

Yeah I'm not sure about the phong, that's probably the one thing that doesn't work; I've noticed the Stahlhelm's don't reflect light as much as they previously did. I didn't notice Wile had been left off the credits though, I believe there was an issue with this when the skins first came to light, he should credit Wile as it's his base the Splittertarn is made off.

LOL
Yes I have been informed of this :) Apparently it was corrected pretty quickly, it just never was made well-known. When the update very first came out, There were immediate complaints (in these forums) that the class-based models and the admin-mod models were now giving consistency errors. Nobody that I can recall responded saying it was working for them. I tried it myself and sure enough I got a consistency error. There has literally been no more mention of it ever since until just a couple weeks ago. Since I have an older computer and don't actually use the War Packs myself, I did not do any further experimenting.
