Anyone have an awesome 3d hand model?

Looking for an awesome FREE 3d hand model we can use in dod:s? The current hands just don't do it for me.

I've found this tutorial, but it's in klingon or something. Even if i could read it , i don't think i'd have any hope modelling a hand that looks that awesome. Anyone here want to try it ?

Does the URL not give you the hint its written in Thai? ;)

I have got a high poly hand but it's WAY to detailed and would bring DoD to its knees.

and if you don't understand that, it means you might as well stab DoD in the foot and tell it to go for a run

I honestly thought they looked pretty convinicing (with my skins ;) )

Or is that you are looking for a higher polycount version?

Higher poly count i suppose! But more interested in thinner fingers. Dod:s ones are stubby, thick and fat and entire hand looks just...chubbed. I prefer more more boney definition.

Well here's my attempt at this tutorial. Wrist is pants and it really looks quite effeminate though since we're all girly men i'm sure we can all relate to hands like that.

Inevitably...the model doesn't fit nicely on the current bones/animations so...reanimation needs to occur. Animating is too difficult.

Does anyone have some high-res hand pictures that i can use to texture these babys with? If you have sexy hands and a digital cam please take some pics for me

It's the FOV (field of view) actually even if you put the CSS hands in it they'd look stubby and fat too. We've seen Css models converted to DOD and they look significantly smaller. To the point where it doesn't even look the same. Unless you decide to make abnormally skinny/long hands then it's no use.

Just load the human model in XSI and delete everythi8ng cept the hand, use that, you can edit as you like

There is a low res and high res version in there
