dod_bootcamp_tnp
Clan training level. This should only be run on a password protected server with an admin for closed clan training events.
As this level only has allied spawn points I advise the admin sets mp_limitteams 32 (or what ever number of players their server is able to host)
I made this map only have allied spawns as it was originally made to be a american training level and there were issues with none passworded servers running this map and it caused a lot of players to get very annoyed as they were being shot when trying to train
New additions:
optimisation, weapons spawns (only have 1 mag), removed all spawns except allies, made bomb plant area.

The new dropzone really sucks. Are you trying to make it impossible for the allies to get out of the planes? Whenever the new version of the map comes on there isnt a single ally with a positive score at the end. =(

Depot is pretty fun once people realized smoke was the key =D

everyone hated the dark versio nof dropzone, every time i went on a server over half of the players hated it and wanted a map change so i made it lighter, i didnt like it lighter but thats what almost every player i met asked for.

even now some people say its too dark so i cant make every one happy, yet i have seen servers running dropzone for hrs full and they loved it.

if u dont like it stay on dropzone_final, its still out on a number of servers and its still very dark.

I was referring to the AA fire. You can hardly get out of the planes its so bad.

the aaa fire is the same intensity but now starts over every 50 seconds.
i played on a few servers and wasnt hit once in half a hr...its just luck of the draw really. some ppl get caught by it, some dont

war is dangerious, bad ppl wanna kill you.
ill ask other clans playing it what they think, if every one says its impossible then ill redesign it. so far no one has complained about it

I loaded the bootcamp map only onto my client PC and started it up, but it freezes right after clicking through the first DoD intro screen. Tried several times with the same result.

Can't find top track for track change!
Do you need to put all the maps from the pack into the DoD maps folder to get access to all required files, or is there something else amiss? Is this a map for DoD:S?

no they are not all needed. now those errors are objects from the game that you can walk through (no sure why), and they caused that error. when i tested this and when its been run on a number of servers its been fine, the errors caused no problem.
i even used the same models on other maps i have done.
the track error shouldnt cause a crash, thats been there since the first versions of the map (there have been at least 16 versions)
the blend grass error i dont know what thats about ill check that.

i think those exact errors have been there since the first release of that map and no one has ever given me this error and i know at least 4 dozen clan members who have downloaded and played it without issue.

do my other custom maps work fine on your rig?

if i find anything i will pm you

And they all loaded and ran fine on the same PC, but dod_bootcamp_tnp still hangs. :(

Yes, the old version worked fine. Tried it just now and had no problems, even with the same errors reported in the console.

ok so its the weapon spawns or bombs that cause it.
odd cause i played it with my clan (about 7 members, and about 5 pubbers and they had no issues.

i really dont know mate im kinda stumped why yours crashes. ill check with some other clans trying the maps and see if they had any issues.

i would try a version without bombs but my hammer editor doesnt work since the last update. once i get time to fix it ill see what can be done

While none of these maps are very pretty, that hasn't stopped you from creating some very innovative and creative stuff. I personally love dropzone, I think it is fascinating.

Yes - it simply won't switch off the map - ok if there is an admin present - but a pain if not.

Its be removed from my map rotation.
