Need a hand for a console background

I've been working on a drawing, originally for my sig (if anyone at all noticed my blind shooter sig). But now I'd like it to be my the console background. I was wondering if anyone would like to take my image and make the console background, as I know basically nothing about how to go about doing that. My sketch isn't quite finished yet, but here's what I've got so far. If all goes well and people like it, I'd be glad to release it. Thanks a lot.

are you trying to base the drawing off call of duty models? it has a small body lmao.

Just coincidence I guess, just got the idea and started drawing. Now that you mention it, the body might look a little small compared to the rifle...I was never very good at perspective :( . But hey, there are small guys in the military anyways.

Well, it looks like I'm done for now, here's what I've got. Still looking for some help to make this a console background. Thanks.

Charcoal? I notice some smudging, and the wider-than-hell (well wider than me and my little 0.5 mechanical do) lines, very sharp job on getting the form down though. That's my weakest area, getting the body and position down, detailing I have no problems with though.

Heh, actually most of this was done with a 0.5 mechanical pencil (with a bit of a regular pencil worked in when I lost my mechanical). But I'm pretty sloppy when it comes to drawing anything that's not for a grade, so some of those smudges are unintentional. But there are some lines that I don't want to get lost in the mess, so I make them thicker and more defined - though the scan blows them up a bit more. Appreciate the feedback.

Quality Lotus, I'm usually a stickler for what goes into my background rotation (running 13 odd backgrounds that are randomly choosen, along with 20 odd songs that are randomly choosen) but I may break my own mold and snag this one...

At Stray, if thats 0.5 then I must really draw light. It's something I've noticed, I tend to be really faint and sketchy, compared to when someone picks up my pencil and starts man-handlng out thick heavy contour lines and I cry they're gonna break my poor pencil. :( Shaded too with mechanical? I purely shade with mechanical to give me a challenge. Makes it so much easier when I need to do gradients. Hmm now I kinda wanna post up a pic I did for DoD a while back...maybe I'll poke my head in the art forums and do that...

Really nice custom art work straybullet.

I love hand drawn stuff it suits a world war 2 mod, very appropriate.

Thanks to yourself and Black Lotus :)

Thank you very much for the compliment INsane. :)

I'm working on another one right now, this time with the Axis and a bit more involved and active than the last. It's far from finished, but here's what I've got so far.

Again, once I'm done I could use a hand turning this into a console background, if anyone's interested :D .

How do you get randomly chosen backgrounds and music?

Straybullet - nice drawing

Black Lotus- I'm going to use that, many thanks!

Alright, here's what I suppose is the finished product. The paper I drew it on was pretty crappy, so the definition and texture and whatnot isn't very good, but I'm satisfied with it for now.

Here's the same picture with a slight out-of-focus effect for the stuff in the mid-/background. Subtle, but a neat effect IMO.

Thanks for the compliments so far, I appreciate them. :D

EDIT: I was thinking of doing another console background, and could use some ideas. Oh...and uh, someone wanna make this one into a console? Thanks! :)

The one guy looks like he has 3 arms.

Other than that, it's nice.

Which one? I'll make a quick fix.

The one guy infront of the wounded sitting up.

I think you are having him drag him with his right arm, but it looks unnatural.

I colored a bit of it out of boredom.
