is this the entity used to display where you want at the start of the map?

If so, how?

If not, what is?

Thanks in advance,

Moe.

No, for the camera angles you get when you join the server, just place a point_camera (I think thats the right one) and set the angle to whatever direction you want it to look.

The devshot_camera is for mappers to place around in their levels during development, so that they can take a screenshot from each camera when a console command is entered, documenting the progress of the map. The console command doesn't work however (atleast I haven't gotten it to work), so it's sort of useless.

If you want to see something neat, go here (http://www.steampowered.com/games/css/de_inferno/).

the entity you want is point_viewcontrol. That's the one that replaces the origin of the map and makes the player start at that specific point.

Don't forget that you can copy anything from the sdk_flash, there's a perfectly good spectator spawnthingy in flash
