the video is of my dod source map, carentan (work in progress), with players acting out the battle for carentan with voice overs from the tv show band of brothers (so contains a few swear words).

just a bit of fun whilst i carry on editing the map for release

nice video, i found it entrtaining. i liked the begining kind of reminded me of valve's dod promo video. btw did that promo ever appear on tv or was it straight internet advertising.

well i dont think they showed it in the uk, i have never seen any advert on the tv for valve games over here.

i tried to make it as much like the band of brothers episode 3 as i could with noobie players pretending to be real soldiers lol.

Nice video. I hope you consider making a more polished version to go along with the final version of the map (which is looking good by the way). The explosions were most awesome (are those going to be part of the map too, or is that just for show?). And the piano was a very nice touch. Good work.

the map is still being made at the moment. the explosions are in the map....they are activated by any allied soldier touching a trigger that sets off a incoming morter sound followed by a explosion and a section of the ground is blown up.
there are 2 of those on the level and last night i added a moving random morter field that drops a morter randomly between every 4 to 20 seconds.
this morter field is activated when the allies capture the pharmacy flag (in the back ally)

I'm sorry, I fell of my chair laughing when the first cutscene entered the movie :')

But it was OK overall.. Just make sure to spice up your map with fancy source stuff (looks rather plain and blocky now)
