ok boys..here they come.. dod_snowtown for source.. we have tonight a last beta maptest and then i release the map! here some screens.

Hey M8 ^^,
outstanding stuff.
This seriously has quite a good chance to make it on my list of all-time-favourites, and there's three reasons for it.
1.) I know you've been working on it like an ass, and thus your brushwork 'n stuff is really clean and proper.
2.) You've got a pretty good feeling for architecture - there's no 08/15 scenery like in most custom maps, but rather a unique and special look to it (despite all the other snow-maps out there now).
3.) The map has a real high level of authenticity. It "feels" real already from the screenshots, and, in addition, nature blends in perfectly into urban parts of it.
All in all I'm really lookin forward to the playtest... and your next project already, of course ^^.

I hope it works out ok but looking at some of those FPS values witout any other players on the map doesn't look to good, unless your PC suxs.
When I know the FPS is ok, that's when I add the good looking maps like this to our server. Source is a killer on FPS at times.

I don't quite know your standards, but I think if 37 fps is the worst case, there's no reason to worry.
I get less than 15 fps on large parts of Anzio or Kalt, and the Dev team didn't have any concerns releasing those maps...
My specs look like this:
Athlon XP 2800+
1 Gig of RAM
Geforce GT 6600
But then again - there's nothing bad about more optimization, so... :D

A tip for Boyscout from a fellow mapper:
Turn off fps display when taking screenshots. FPS is a very individual thing.

I expected it to look like crap and was surprised, pretty good job. It's not full to the brim but it is detailed to some extent.

the maptest yesterday are great.. we have lot of fun and i have make a little update and fixing some bugs..so the download of beta2 coming today!

my fps halves (85, vsync on, to 39-43) when i look at the building with the courtyard on the allies left alley way, as you come out of allied spawn.

I stumpled upon this thread thanks to google, and I just wanted to say that this map looks pretty good form the pics. I am going to have to download it and give it a test run. Good work my friend.
