Unfixible texture issue

I found this when I went to try to redo some work I lost recently for a bunker map. I made a new box and right from the creation there was a texture problem.

The problem is that on sides facing (I belive) the upper right hand corner of the map the face is forced to have the properties "Face" and "world" aligned both checked. In fact if I rotate the new box the bug is not related to the individual side but which sides are facing that Up-right position.

This is rather perplexing and seems to make no sense at all to me, even with my limited knowledge of how these things work this seems rather odd.

You should use the Search button in these forums, this issue has been addressed about a gazillion times.

Ill post the solution here anyway

Select the whole brush THEN go into texture properties, if both face and world are still checked then CTRL select other brushes/faces until neither or just one of the boxes is checked then click FACE then check WORLD, should fix the problem

Having seen that fix before it hasn't been able to help me.

I did go back to try it just to be sure, but unfortunately it still failed to fix the problem. Basically if the texture is facing the upright direction if simply will not change the face/world properties at all.

I don't think it's possible I'm doing it wrong, unless there is a second texture property window I might have overlooked, but otherwise unfortunately that doesn't solve my issue.

Thank you for the link and explantion though.
