After a long break and a few CS:S skins, I'm going to start skinng for DoD:S again. My only problem is that I have no idea what to skin. Anyone got suggestions/requests. As you all may know (or not) I prefer skinning player and prop models.

I for one would like to see:

1928 Drum Clip Thompson (aka Chicago Typewriter)

Luger (for the P38)

M1941 Johnson Semi-Automatic Rifle (for the Carbine)

Grease Gun (for Thompson)

MG-34 (for MG-42)

I know most of these will probably never see the light of day, but I'd figure what the hell, I'll give you some ideas.

Please don't dissapoint us. Lately there have been alot of good skins on the horizon which have been neglected and unfinished (FG-42, BAR w/ Bi-pod, Sten etc.) Also PLEASE DO NOT DO MODERN COMBAT WEAPONS. I think I speak for everyone here when I say we're not interested in seeing a M4 skin for the Thompson etc.

Cruz,

I would like to see a very good, clean Hi-res K98 skin. There are others, but they are not very detailed on the back of the receiver and bolt, which you see VERY promenently and very close up in "iron-sights" mode. It is because of the irosight mode that I specifically use hi-res skins (2048x2048) for the Garand and K98 only. However, most hi-res skins so far have been lacking in real detail in this one area. eSkwaad did an excellent job with the hi-res Garand; I can send you a copy of his original or you can download my version of his skin if you want to see the level of detail I'm talking about.

I was planning on doing this myself, but I have suspended any new skinning until the major DOD:S update comes out.

My reskin of eSkwaad's garand:

I suggest doing a good m1 Carbine skin. I also suggest making a good BAR skin. That would be awesome.

Damn, it hasn't been updated since January though... I hope he hasn't given up on it. I'd bump the thread myself, but I don't have an account on CDG mainly 'cuz everyone there seems so intimidating.

Some gritty German paratroopers and or 12th SS Hitlerjugend similar to what Flammenwerfer did with these original DoD skinshttp://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7658/12thssboc132tn.jpg
Its not the best picture, but i'll try for some better color plates.

barrel needs to be thickened near the receiver. and the compensator needs to be fatter. + more poly's in the drum so its not soo rough.

The only thing about the super hi-res skins is that like the garand if it were real, the ironsights would be blurry in the back and sharp in the front. but its a game, so eh.

I would like to see a good German Afrikan Korps uniform skinned by you.
