Memories of good times coming flooding back! Looks great and I look forward to playing it.
Hum a lot of "souvenirs" on this one, nice work.
I've just tried it alone, i think you should get a better spawn protection for the allies, it's easy to go in their house.
And what about a two players cap for the second and the third flag ?

It seems like the Axis have quite a jog from their spawn to their first flag, but Allies first is right outside their spawn, doesn't seem very fair.

I do not give anyone permission to enclose the map in a map pack without concenting me first.
Ok to release it in the next dodirectory map pack?

This is your best map yet, Rolk. Great job!
The Allies do seem to have the upper hand, if only because the run from spawn can take the Axis out of the action for awhile.
Possibly get rid of the turn coming out of the Axis spawn, and have them instead spawn where the woodpile is?

Hi Rolk,
Excellent map, Thanks you!!!
Just a suggestion... add 2 men cap 5th flag in the tunnel, that will redirect another action away from the main route and force a more balance game play.
Cheers, Kurt

Some great improvements, but I still seem to be able to make that fence jump on tank lol.
Another good idea would be making an obstacle course in the tunnel....maybe?
Just some suggestions.

Like on Double Dare or American Gladiators? Yeah!
Thanks for the comments guys, highly appreciated!
There seems to be some confusion for the second allied flag, you need to go into the building to capture it.
Taking everything into consideration and really do appreciate the comments. I want to try and keep it as close to the original as I can due to that being my favorite map of all time, it was just chaos and I tried to capture that, future versions will include a full new sewer system, 'perhaps' another 2 man capture flag, and various other tweaks like moving flags. Thanks guys!
Edit: Thanks for the download links too guys, keeps the load off my site ;)

So far you've captured the essence of the original. This map is usually pretty one sided as the Axis have their work cut out for them. But it always feels good capping from the Axis side.
It's nice to hear you're gonna tweak it some though, sometimes the it's hard to keep players on the Axis side as they get trampled on time after time. Don't get me wrong though, all maps don't need to be symmetrical.

Wow that looks pretty neat. Before I read the description I looked at the screens and said to myself "wow, that looks similar to snowtown"... and then it was.

comments from our members:-
1. map needs to be bigger - same layout but extended a bit
2. sewers - currently the axis have no chance of getting in them if there is an mg down there - the original had multiple routes.
other than that most people liked it.
can we put this in our next map pack??

One of my favorite maps of all time, and you've done an excellent job re-making it. I truly commend you on this, and the map plays extremely well.
I'm glad you've kept it all so original, obviously things have changed since beta 1.3 but the map still plays really well!
It brought back memories seeing people spam nades over that first wall :)
Awesome El Capitan, I'm glad you like it, and I'm even more glad that it plays like the original.
I am hesitant to add a new flag as I just want the same original feel... We'll see how the sewers work out...
You have to keep it like the original. No reason to change it. I'm glad you did this, very cool.

Just played this tonight...great work. Looks fantastic and the vibe of snowtown is totally there. First class recreation. We're gonna be playing this a lot, I think!
I'm on the verge of releasing b3 within the next week, if anyone has noticed any bugs or any suggestions, please post them!
Balance issues have been looked at and a few changes have been made to flag placement and capture times!
