So basically i'm trying to make flags invisible, (like on my custom map), when i extract w_wflag.mdl and null.mdl then i rename the null.mdl to w_wflag.mdl, it still shows the flag ingame T_T

My friend and I want to do like a random flag map but its hard when i can't make the flags invisible (flag pole too)

Any ideas?

PS: I also tried to null out the flag sprites but to no avail T_T

*I'm no mapper, so if the following does not seem to make sense, please ignore.*

Have you tried creating a custom skin(s) for the flag models where skin is transparent?

Well that would help indeed...

I tried like exporting the texture to paint then trying to make it transparent but it came out white (or maybe i'm doing it wrong)

If anyone knows how to make the skin transparent using HLMV and paint or adobe, please post/link me to a guide :)

EDIT: it seems as if anything i do, the models just come back to their normal ways (on public servers when I load my custom map on my server, and they don't change even on other servers...)

Any ideas?

Oh come on.

Someone has to know how to do this.

Why do the models revert back into normal default ones?

I placed all the files in 3 spots just to make sure and I nulled out the sprites as well..

i put it in models, mapmodels, and even in seperate folders..

I've done this many times before but this time it doesn't work with flags?

If its Source it could be a consistency check thats forcing it to use the model in the GCF no-matter what.
