displaying message

just wondering, how do you make a message display to only 1 player. Like whenever you get near enemy spawn, and a message pops up telling you to turn back.

Add a GAME_TEXT entity and have a trigger target it

In the GAME_TEXT flags check the fallowing for the desired effect

ALLIED PLAYER ONLY, AXIS PLAYER ONLY, AXIS TEAM ONLY, ALLIED TEAM ONLY or ALL PLAYERS

The above are self explainitory

And if you only want a certain team to be able to trigger this text then in the trigger for the text set the team you want to be able to trigger it under flags

Hi,
first apologies if this has been already askedin the forums, but since all the maps donīt have exactly what I want I ask it directly here.

First, what do we see when a map is loaded. A brief description of what the objectives of the map are. The allies... and the axis....
On the background you can see the amap (beach, forst, city-village and so on depending on the actual map).

Here comes the question. Is it possible (additional to the default intro) can you also add a screen with pictures (pics, like the real city, a map, other pics, some test) it would be like a screen saver but with more details on the objectives, or history of the battle, or the city, or a legend. For any of those out there who know the comics Corto Maltese from Hugo Prat, when he had to make a comic, he always put an introduction with pictures of the cities, drawings, biographies, ...
In my case I want to know if a similar thing can be introduced in a map to add another sense of realism-hystorical background-whatever you want to call it.
Thanks

There were animated intros to para-style maps in beta 3.X but I don't see any in 1.0.
This may be done, just by making a room with walls of pictures, camera could show first, switch view a few times to show others, then start the map.
