Stripping Guns

Ok, heres my dilema.

On our 6 servers, we allow spawn camping with any gun OTHER than the MG. We have had to manually monitor this, which can be a hassle for admins who are playing too.

Since we only play custom maps made by those in our clan who can map, I wondered if it would be possible to make a trigger that would strip only mg's if/when someone entered the spawn area.

I am guessing its possible based on being able to use team specific hurt_triggers, but I have not been able to get it to work.

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this, or perhaps a tut that covers this?

As always, any and all help with this is appreciated!

Thanks

i have been thinking of something similar, like remove all guns from players at the start of the round except knife.
is that possible?

It would need configuration server-side since not all classes have a knive/shovel (take assault for example, they use fist)

Yeah we have a nice mod that one of our admins made that will strip weapons from all players.

The problem with that is you cant have a WW2 game without the MG's so it won't work for my problem.

I know in CSS there were maps that would strip guns when you went into a knife fighting area, but i havent been able to find a tut that i could try to manipulate for DODs

Search the forums, I recall there is a script that strips weapons, might only be at the start or something. But AFAIK there isn't any sort of strip entity.. yet..

Yeah, we already have a custom script for stripping all weapons, and for making everyone play with the same gun...but it doesnt work for what i want to do.

Your also right about the lack of a weapon stripping entity as well, which is why i was hoping there would be a work around
