You may remember the original dod_harvest screenshots I posted a few weeks ago. Well, a lot has changed since then... I playtested the original with my clan and got some useful insight as to which direction I wanted to take the map.

Here are the latest screenshots for you all:

The bridge over the creek (http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/4834/dodharvest00222dk.jpg)
The wheelhouse (http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/118/dodharvest00247dw.jpg)
The chateau (http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/3876/dodharvest00252yb.jpg)
The barn and the stables (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/6848/dodharvest00264ie.jpg)
barn (interior) (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/7493/dodharvest00279xk.jpg)

The general premise is that the Axis have taken up fortified positions on a farm in order to stop the Allied advance (complete with a barn, farmhomes, stables, a wine cellar, and crop fields). The Allies start in a local country Inn and work their way through a small, hilly countryside past random country homes toward the farm. The only way to traverse between the countryside and the farm are along a country road, through the wheelhouse or along either the trail or creek behind the chateau. The map is "dark" and hazy, as a summer thunderstorm is looming nearby.

The map is very open in places, and the fog prevents it from being an all out snipefest. However, the map still lends itself to being a rifle map as visibility within a certain range is still quite good. There are plenty of routes for some of your more up-close-and-personal classes as well.

The map is pretty much in a state where I'm comfortable for release. I expect the release to happen this week.

This looks excellent! great use of textures, they suit the weather nicely!

Might i just say that in your pic of the chateau, the big wide stairs and the columns on the building stand out as a little too boxy, try displacing the edges of the stairs just a tad, and i reckon the columns might need to be a little thicker :).

I really like the looks of this map though good on ya!
