M1A1 Thompson
Wile E Coyote

Another test skin I am releasing. Much like the carbine, I wasn't gonna release it but changed my mind. IMHO eSkwaad's Thompson is still the best; however he has chosen not to release for personal reasons. So here is my take on it ;)
DOWNLOAD (http://www.landofozz.net/wilee/WC_M1A1tommy_for_DOD-S.zip)
It is re-colored default skin with new wood, new detailed areas and eskwaad's magazine. I don't know why you'd need a hi-res version but I included one. Has a w_model.
Wood part of the skin is actual walnut grain, which is most likely the hardwood used on almost all stocked weapons created during the 1940's - 1950's.
Mirror will be up on www.dodcustomcontent.com
*EDIT*
I just realised those screenshots are of the hi-res version from when I was still testing the skin; I am using the lo-res version myself, you really won't notice the difference in-game, but I thought I'd better mention it anyway :)

Gah! Corrupt zip! Something on my computer does not like your hosting, seeing as I got the same problems on your carbine, 1911 and smoke grenade.
EDIT: Got it, great work.

Those two are the same. ;)
Awesome skin. I love how you put the alpha channel in the tga file, it makes the skin look so much better.
Out of curiosity, does that even use the cubemap? Because all I see is white, and I like having white as reflection, sometimes.

You're not kidding Kieffer. If Wile keeps this up, my entire custom skins will be from his creations, lol.

His custom skins are the only skins I use right now. They are like candy for the eyes .:D
EDIT: Sorry I was wrong. I also use Rascal's Stg44 :)

But very great skins all-around Wile. Can't wait to see what you do next.

However, on custom maps that do NOT have env_cubemaps implemented properly the reflective areas on weapons with relective channels (like the default MG-42) will appear as plain white.
Also, make sure you have the correct "v_thompson.vmt" installed and that it has not been overwritten by something else. This tells the computer how to process the skin
Thanks to everyone for the kind words

Very nice work. I especially like the writing and scratch details. Thanks a lot for your hard work.
