Anyone know what min specs you would need to run Hammer on a laptop?
Can you even run Hammer without an internet connection?

Not sure about the min specs but you can run any steam app in offline mode, unless it was in the middle of an opnline update, you close steam and try to run it in offline mode half way updated

I used to run Hammer for dod 1.3 on a Pentium III 450Mhz, 384MB RAM, peice of poo graphics card, WinXP. It ran fine from what i can remember... though my maps at the time weren't anything extensive.
Hope that helps. I like the idea of mapping on a lappy on the train to school/work, haha.
Hammer doesn't need excessive requirements to be run. You can always change the 3D mode to be wireframe or flatshaded. As far as I know, making it textured or even worse, light texturized, takes a lot of pagefile memory. I remember mapping for CS beta 6 on a 450mhz as well.
