Someone would have to remove env_sun in EntEd and release the map with a different name like dod_donner_nosun, if someone did this they should just pack the skybox with it.

Personally I think this belongs in the MSA forum since its editting textures, but the mods apparently disagree with me since it was moved...

Is there a way to install custom skyboxes like custom skins without downloading the whole map again? Like a VMT file or something you can stick in a directory somewhere

Guys, guys (and gals)

he changed the skybox textures, which is %100 percent compatible with any server out there. To change the lighting or add rain (God I would love that) he would have to recompile the map iteself and therefore create an entirely new map that would not be compatible with the current map.

Which is fine and dandy by me because if you COULD change the lighting that would invite rampant cheating on the darker maps!

Perhaps servers could edit the HDR values and turn them off or something, that'll make it a little more darker...
