OKay.... the wood is not really that accurate. This skins was really just a test skin, but I'm just releasing it as is. That does NOT mean that in any way whatsoever this skin looks like crap in-game :) It just means I was planning to make more changes I never got around to since my life got busy.

Aside from trying to practice making a wood skin, I also really experimented withe trying to make the weapon stock reflect and look like it is varnished. I think I was relatively sucessful. You won't be able to judge by pictures alone; much like a "chrome" skin, you have to see it in-game. I uploaded it primarily so any other skinners could see how I did the alpha channel and possibly give them ideas

Okay that's all three skins - will get mirros up later

Accurate or not, I think the wood turned out nice. :)

Thanks for the nice comments :), but the wood on this skin just bugs me. First off the grain is way too visible. Looks like a modern-day specialty stock. But more than that, the real thing that bugs me is that the grain itself does not follow a realistc pattern. It's a bit hard to explain, I would have changed it but it is difficult to get right and I don't have the time lately.

The wood was my only complaint with this skin. It looks way too exotic for a 1940's implement of war

Seriously this is the wood look I was trying t achieve, didn't quite get there. Used the wrong type of wood texture base
