Yes, yes, YES that is what they really looked like during WW2. If ya don't like it, don't download it, but don't go telling me how stupid it looks ROFL. You can tell it to the wall for all I care. This is the real deal! hehehe... all you guys complaining about the "green" or "red" words on the skin got me in researching, and I gotta tell ya I was surprised when I found out what they really looked like!

FYI - did anyone else know that until 1942, the US Army painted their frag grenades bright yellow?? (no, I'm not joking) It is amazing what doesn't show up on black and white film.

Uses Hobosphere's enlarged default model

Nice, but I think you're missing the vmt file for the v model.

It's not in the zip.:D

Uses Hobosphere's enlarged default model Seems they also had red practice ones in the 1920's & 30's:

EDIT:
The files for the hud don't seem to work, do you have to use insane's newest hud for it to work? I'm using v5 of his other hud.

EDIT2:
Nevermind about the hud icon, it works. They way your readme is, it sounds like you have to create a folder for it. You don't.

The correct path is:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\*******\day of defeat source\dod\materials\sprites\hud

:D

Thanks. That's why I didn't want to put up mirrors yet, to correct any mistakes found. Time has been short this week, and I pretty much slapped these together without testing the install process.

Will correct the upload :)

*EDIT*
this is why I really need to get an installer working and the main reason I asked about it in the first place. For SOME reason Valve just can't ever seem to be consistent where they install their files too between game version (store vs. online downloads) They even had differences in the original retail version of DOD. My path actually is not incorrect. You have a different default install. Whichever version you managed to get, it put your Steam files under a Valve folder. Mine did not. (As many other installs I have seen out there).

I never watched it all the way, but didn't The Thin Red Line have yellow frags? Just saying ya know. Btw, stop making such good skins, you make me get off my lazy bum and download em... :D

Useful actually. I often screech "NAAAAAADE" and run from what turns out to be a smoke nade. This'll stop me looking stupid.
