Looks great. Looks better than great: looks brilliant. Although the lemon flavoured hair looks a bit dodgy. I may just use this!

But can you please put the files altogether in one download on filefactory?

Yeah the bright yellow hair doesn't look right. The rest looks good though. Try desaturating the hair, and brightening the eyebrows.

Whew!!...finally got all the files.

Hope it is really realistic...cause when Wile E. sees the topic title..oh boy. :D

Anyway, I like it...nice job.:)

Wanted to host these file of DOD Federation but the link provided is so awfull and tried to actually download one with no succes. If you want them hosted on a fast website with credit to you and no publicity, use this contact us form:

http://www.dod-federation.com/contact.php

This host is horrible. Check our site, a new DOD Source community website in the player skins section:

http://www.dod-federation.com/download.php?id=7

We want to provide everyone with a much easier way to find content for DOD Source.

Where do you see "whole "new" pack?"

I see "New and improved," which is exactly what these new models are.

To say there is not much of a change is quite absurd and insulting in my opinion, especially considering I've spent countless hours working on this project. Maybe download both his and my work and compare the two, that's the only thing I can think of. I have changed almost everything on Wile's original model that could be changed. Really only the face has been left unaltered. The textures, colors, decals, insignia, chinstrap, helmet liner, buttons, boot soles, belt and buckle and so on have all been replaced with my own stuff. I'm sure you werent meaning to be uncouth, that's just the way I interpreted it. Thanks for the replies guys.

Well to me, a pack is a bunch of items released in a....how do I say this...a pack. This is what I meant. You called it "new" and improved. That is where I came to the conclusion whole "new pack."

The thing is, you take his skin, edit it, yet you don't mention where you got the original skin from anywhere in your post. If i'm not mistaken, the orginal file is from a Wile skin, and you used it as reference if not the re-do the items that were already there. I'm just saying, give credit, before you say it's new and improved.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm taking a shot at you, just voicing an opinion

The thing is, I take his skin (Wile Coyote's), edit it, give Wile full credit for the originals in my README FILE and not just that--I also mention it more than enough times in the previews forum--Wile sees the thread, says he likes it and the changes I've made and tells me to keep up the good work. So I'M JUST SAYING, know your facts and have an idea what your talking about before you go accusing people of being hacks on a forum, okay? Here's a big 'ol link to the above mentioned thread where I sing my praises to Wile's Sturmman Josef skin and say that I'm editing it--just so there's no more confusion. Have a nice day!

I shouldn't have to download the skin in order to see the credits. Credits should be posted somewhere in the post [next to download link to be curteous]. Nor should I have to be linked to another thread for credits. Credts should be visible on the first post. I knew my facts. I knew there was a readme. But, why do I need to download in order to see who made the original skin? Plus, how am I to know there is a thread in the WiP about how you were editing a previous skin? You didn't mention it until later...
I wasn't accusing you of being a hack or anything for that matter. I just said (now and in my previous reply) that you should put credits on the first post

My point to all this is, credits should be visible right off the bat. To me, it seems decieving if you only include creds in a readme that can only be seen after the skin has been downloaded.

Now with that closing statement you had about my "day," it seems like i'm annoying you with my replies, which in no means I was trying to do.

Guys -

It's all cool. All I ask for (ever) is credit in the readme. Plain and simple. This is mainly because of the way files tend to get distributed all over the internet without consent.

Take for example my skins. I have found them on at LEAST 5 sites I never submitted to. If someone mentions your name in the forum, that doesn't travel with the files. As long as it's in the README, your name goes wherever the file goes ;)

Cruzaderazn, I was quite annoyed. Your posts seemed very critical of my work. Like Wile said, I think a readme file giving credit for the originals is sufficient. If I knew editing someone elses skin was going to be such a hassle I would have just started from scratch. I wanted to use Wile's because its a great skin and it would save me time. From now on I think I will use only my own material. Sorry If I'm a seem a little edgy, it's probably because I'm pissed about the huge $3200.00 fine I got over the weekend! That can make any person angry at the littlest thing as I'm sure you can understand.

I think you misunderstand where Cruz is coming from. What I got out of it was that he felt you misrepresented the skin in the title you choose for it. If I were to have to choose, I would have to agree with him. But don't get pissed; keep reading :)

In every classical sense of computer game modelling it is a re-skin of an existing skin. Even I make a clear distinction when I release my skins whether or not it is %100 new or I have used parts of other's skins (reskin). For example, My spade, P38, Garand and allied sleeve skin are all clearly defined as reskins. Conversely, on my player models about the ONLY thing in common with the original skins is where I put the wrinkle shadows on the clothes Other than that both the player skins and gear skins are %100, no-doubt-about-it brand spankin' new. My rule of thumb (nobody else is forced to use it) is that if I cannot claim at least %90 of the skin as brand-new, I call attention to the fact it is a reskin.

FYI, I learned the hard way believe or not. I was accused of trying to take credit for others' work in the past, mostly because I simply did not know any better. Trust me when I say this is definitely not one of the harshest forums for a skinner to post in. Your work is good, Keep it up! Just brush up on your presentation is the only advice I would give :) Most of all, don't get too upset; it happens to us all at one point or another. It's called learning ;)
