Grenade distance?

Does anyone know or have a best guess for the distance a grenade can be thrown? I'm just trying to ensure that my spawnpoints and "Barriers" have enough distance to keep the spawn campers from being ... well ... themselves.
Thanks.

Why dont you just put up a barrier to stop them throwing nades into spawn, that way when they bounce back at them they will think twice.

Just make a brush with "playerclip" as a barrier against nades being thrown :D

Doesnt it have to be a clip rather than playerclip?

Well I have tried it as I had a similar problem with my map but both clip and playerclip dont work.

In the end I made a brush 4 units thick from floor to ceiling/skybox and textured it with "nodraw" and now the nades bounce off and can't be thrown into the spawn area.

Compile your map and test it.

Only if that NoBullet (or whatever) texture actually worked... it would help.
