is there an official version of caen in the works? cant have dod without caen.

that huge center area... unless you had a top of the line computer, you couldnt play. wouldnt you think?

it was one of the best maps for any game ever though.

dod does need a new caen ... it is what map dod some amazing and fun back in the day and hell even still up to 1.3

I agree that Caen might be the greatest DoD map ever, and is one of the few that I would actually like to see remade. For the most part, I want to see all new maps for the all new game, but Caen is worthy.

I'll drink to that. Caen was one of my favorite hunting grounds back in the day - almost as fun as Koln.

but basically what im saying is that caen is one of the most memorable maps to any long time dod fan. It was among the first maps i ever played and until they removed the allies and replaced it with the brits - it was probably one of the maps i played the most.

there hasnt been any real map like it since ... it was VERY well balanced ... non linear and very fun :D and for the old timers ... the beta tanks in caen were the <3<3<3<3Z

btw who was the creator and why hasnt he redone it for source ... :(:(:(:(:(

the only thing that beat the crazy fights in fire alley was the battle with the electric wire lol

How about we take the beach first....???

as in..BEACH MAP.

How can any WWII game not have an invasion beach map???

lol anzio's beach is good enough ;) but its that most ww2 games have a beach map with it .... after all its probably one of the most overly characterized aspects of the war .... considering it was only really the d-day invasion that used a beachfront attack in the european theater of operations.

so a beach map and caen ... and oslo ... and carentan lol ... SHOW ME THE MONEY

Oh I hated that wire lol..always injured me:D . Caen used to be my favorite map when I first started playing. I usally go in spurts. I obsess over 1 map for like months. Flash, ava, caen, ava, anz, don all of them had there fair share.

but caen is by far the tops

and we have 2 beach maps
Omaha, and Charlie source, which due to whatever constraints has no objective satchels but it does have multiple cap points and is a fair approximation of Charlie, the source (is B1 i think)which can be released as b2-b12 whatever i takes to get it down right.
but CAEN is a must
and Saints lo where is that...
and Northbound for Source would Rule

caen, oslo, koln, and carentan for source ... that would make dod so perfect
