True. I don't take in-games either, but at least use a dark gray neutral bg instead of black. Or make the ambient light white.

That's a poor attitude.

Why release things here if you're going to be a grouch?

People are just asking for a better picture so they don't have to go through the hassle of downloading it, loading up the game and testing it to see if they like it or not.

yeah, good question

Splinter never took ingames either (well rarely) and his renders (yeah, yeah Splinter I know they're not renders :p) were dark, but they were still better than the shot you posted. I literally can't see anything but the hands. Sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh...but it's true.

Shesh. No offense, trust me, but you sound like (edit) ragging on other peoples work.


The fact of the matter is that skinning isn't just easy. You don't just pop it in Photoshop and apply a filter. There is work involved. Old Splinters skins are examples of this.

It's a bit bland imo, it needs a bit more contrast perhaps and some stronger lighting.

When in areas of extreme brightness in maps, the skin looks very nice.

However, in the other 80% of the map (at least the vast majority of them) the skin is very dark and looks like this

So now everyone can make an informed decision about downloading this skin.

Yeah, Splinter brightened up the picture that Propen posted & showed it to me...it's quite nice.:)

I don't like it so I'm not downloading.
