[MREL] - High Poly Hands

I originally made these hands months ago, when the dod hands really sucked, they've gone through so many modifications that they aren't really even the same models any more. Anyway, these are high poly (around 1000) hand and sleve models with textures included. The textures are jpg's because I couldn't fit bmp's in the zip and still attach it. For those of you that don't know, these are for v_models and need to be assigned to a weapon skeleton to work.

*EDIT* I'm re-tooling these to fit properly with the default skeleton, I'll release them with a weapon model I'm working on in a bit. I'll also release the milkshape file with a skeleton attached for refrence.

Yeah, I just noticed that myself, I've fixed it and updated the zip. The thumbs no longer get so narrow at the end like in the pic

Arg. Help Model newbie here :D

What do I need to do to put these on a v_model?

I got milkshape.. could get anything else too.

These look very nice and I would love to try em :)

Thanks

The size of the fingers (except the inch) is overall the same one on this model. But in reality it's not like that.

So imo this hands look really weird because of the size of the fingers. I think THIS (http://www.sne-web.co.jp/JOPM-100-hand.jpg) image give a good idea of the size

any ingame pics ?

Err, this isn't an easy process to put this into your models. I imagine they don't have a skeleton right now. You'll have to merge it with the old DoD hands and reassign all the vertices to the proper joints.

i dont think he was talking about the thumbs getting narrow... look at your own hands... they dont rotate like that, they should be turned so the nail sides are facing each other

the thumbs should be rotated a little to the sides. Try it out on your own. Spread your fingers out casually, and you see your thumb does not face up, but to the side
