Brighter text for player names?
I'm a bit out of it, havent played dod in ages. Today i fired up steam and played the latest dod (not even sure what version we're on). Anyway, when i look at a player his name is almost unreadable. The color is very dim, can i do something about that?
The only thing customized in my dod is the 3.1 Thompson model and sound that i put in, and the crosshair. But don't ask me how i did it back then ;)
Thank you kindly.
*edit* As long as it's not considered cheating. Like i said, i've been away for years. Left dod around 1.0. So maybe i missed something.

if its source then you can, il need to find it, but i clearly remember seeing a line for it somewhere, but then again i may be mistaken.
nvm, didnt work.
ah too bad.. I can see the scoreboard letters clear but the crosshair names are very hard to read, too dim.

Go to the ClientScheme.res file in the resource folder. Find this section...
}
"TargetID"
{
"1"
{
"name" "Trebuchet MS"
"tall" "20"
"weight" "900"
"range" "0x0000 0x007F" //
"antialias" "1"
"additive" "0"
Change the value beside "additive" to "1"... this will add white into the text, making it brighter. It will take the green to a lighter green and also take the red more towards "pinkish" :)
email... insane@dodbits.com ...for more info if you are stuck.
Thanks! Now i emailed you because i cant find the ClientScheme.res anywhere.
*edit* never mind found it ;)
*edit 2* The "TargetID" part is not in my ClientScheme.res. Can i copy/paste that part anywhere in there?
*edit 3* Okay i pasted the text in there and it seems to work so thanks again.
