Hi everybody,

Context: Italy Campaign, on a hill.
Here are some screens :

screen1 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/towards_allied.jpg)
screen2 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/center0.jpg)
screen3 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/allied_spawn.jpg)
screen4 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/tree.jpg)
screen5 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/center1.jpg)
screen6 (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/towards_axis.jpg)

This is a non-urban fight.
I wanted to keep the balance between realism and fun factor; details and performances (to be able to play with 31 bots, lol).
That's why some of you could find that the map is not much detailed.

Thanks a lot to all the beta-testers.
Critiques are welcome!

looks very nice+fun. the only thing i would do would add a few bushes or other types of plant life to add some more cover but not "safe" cover i.e. it may hide you but they can still shoot through it and kill you. it'll add a lil more veriaty plus it gives the non-snipers a chance to move up with out their head being takin off. all and all good work man

Looks good here are a few sugguestions

-In the light_environment make the pitch and yaw -15 that will make the shadowing look much better

-Add more foliage models your epoly count can be boosted to around 7000 with no preformence hit

more foliage=higher r_speeds which he doesnt want. Looks like a fun map, i would say more detail, but you explained yourself, wish i could've play tested it ;). Looks fun! Good job

If you want this map to be fun for players other than Sniper/Kar *****z for Dod's sake add more cover.

True, it needs more trees, and brushes...and it needs a little bit more brown.

looks like a great map.

just add your own cfg that limits the amount of snipers per team because it could turn into a sniperfest easily.

add some mortars like in dod_forest. That way you can still bombard the enemy and draw them out of the trenches into battle rather then sit in them and wait till the enemy comes to them.

Kruger :S

Use some hill models on the map's sides, maybe the ones in dod_merderet.

You should also place some mortars as Inch pointed out.Would be interesting to give the enemy team "some motivation".

It's a sweet looking map but 7000 epolys with no players on screen and no weapons is high...try adding some bots and see how the epolys go...

with bots it i will go up over 10,000... for show :(

Good posts.

One more screen : ennemyahead (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kruger/img/frad/ennemyahead.jpg)

looks nice, but i think the hill terrain looks very clipped! please use the vertex tool for this! Itīs not a big work to fix this when you use big brushes! ;)

keep up the good work!

Looks good but what do you think adding some things here and there so that one could hide behind? What about tanks? don't know...

Keep up

Look in the lower right corner of the pic, by the sandbags, and you will see a mortar.
