Hi everyone, I've release an alpha version of my Source object viewer dubbed Crafty. Crafty can view Source .bsp, .mdl, .vmf and .gl files along with .rmf and .map files. For more information check out this page (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=173#p173).

Well, it's a nice tool and all (too bad it requires .NET, but well)..

But I experience some problems, namely that every map I load, consists of 90% white textures.. This happens to all maps, going from CSS to DODS to HL2.. Official and non-official ones..

So Nem! When are you going to make a new editor to replace Hammer?

Very cool indeed! I loved the older versions as well so I'm definately checking this one out.

The ability to render all brushes including triggers and clips etc helps a lot when it comes to understanding maps and thinking about map tactics!

Did you read the setup guide on my site? You need to mount the necessary .gcf files and local folders.

Maybe one of these days if I ever get a chance... I certainly have a lot of ideas I'd like to see. Crafty was designed with that possibility in mind, there is a tonne of reusable code in it, in fact, all it really needs is an interface.

Just a heads up, you can't view most of those brushes in BSP files because they are removed during compile time.

Do you have x86 version of the .NET framework (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en) installed (v2.0)? (The x64 version is for 64 bit applications only.)

I see what you mean, Trigger brushes stay there though!

I've uploaded Alpha 2 adding, amongst other things, the ability to save your configuration.

Thanks for the help. :)
