Lighting

As map comes closer to being finished im having a problem with the lighting, its an open map mainly fields hedges and trench system,what light entity's are best as im using light env and it seems to be very dark.Im also using the normal default skybox.
Any suggestions greatly received..........

turn up the brightness :D

Find a map whose lighting you like and copy their lighting entities into your map (you'll have to decompile them first) and adjust from there. Also look to the wiki for good stuff. Start here: Source SDK (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Category:Level_Design)
