Unknown detail object type

I got this error on a compile today. I have been looking arounf for what the cause is, but couldn't find much. Any ideas?

Placing detail props : 0...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...Material NATURE/ARGENTAN_BLENDGRASSDIRT uses unknown detail object type argentan_grass_med!

hmm i think you need to copy the "detail.vbsp" in you "..dod/*.*" folder. but normally is it read from gcf directly ..
i never used this blend vmt .

Do you have the most recent DOD:S updates? That info should have come with the Argentean map.

As ernst said, it's about the detail.vbsp. It should be in there...

You can also make your own details file and in the map properties point to that file.

I have the same problem on my upcoming map, and if you actually look at Argentan, I suspect Valve intentionally changed the vmt file so that details wouldn't pop up...

either way it's the vmt file that doesn't work, and like FD said, you and I are going to have to edit the texture and have it as a custom one.

My detail file is fine I think because the other blend textures are generating sprites. For those interested in adding grass sprites to blend textures here is a tutorial.
