Free roaming and disabling speech

Ok when in spectate mode, how can one free roam so you can fly around anywhere in your map? Not just follow players, but go anywhere. I remeber this was pretty easy back in the MOHAA playing days. But I can't figure out how in DoD:S

Also, I'm way tired of hearing the English and German lads belt out their one-liners every time I compile/test my map. Is there a way of disabling their speech when they spawn?

cheers.

Press crouch (normaly ctrl) and then in the bottom right click on "chase view" or what ever it is and change to "free-look"
Note: Some servers disable this option

And as for the start commands, I don't think you can, it's in the game code not the map. You could create a txt file and name it the same name as the sound files for the start commands if it really annoys you.

those allies/axis lines they shout at the beginning are located in the info_doddetect entity (if that's the right name). Just delete those entries and they won't (or shouldn't) say a word.

As for spectating around, press "space" three times to toggle through the 3 spectating modes.

Yeah I did spot them in the doddetect but you can't delete them unfortunately.

And now I know how to free-roam, cheers!

Try deleting them without having DOD or Steam running.

In the info_doddetect just click on the smartedit button to turn it off then delete the entries for the start commands.
