Made these to fill a few requests, and just because I wanted to.
No I am not making any class based skins with these. Or adding
ANYTHING to them. I left them blank on purpose, so other skinners
out there who want to incoporate them into there own skins will
be able to do so fairly easy. Remember to always give credit :)
While these look neat, they are basically pure fantasy. With the
exception of the American skin, you would have never seen any
of these in WW2.
The three German camo patterns, Oak/Spring, Oak/Fall and Splinter
were all real patterns used by the Germans, but were NEVER used to
actually make a uniform, only tents, pullover smocks and helmet covers.
The American camo pattern was an experiment by the U.S. Army using
the exact same cloth the Marine camo uniform in the Pacific used.
These uniforms were issued to exactly 1 battalion - out of an entire
army group - and were recalled about 1 month later because of
increased friendly fire incidents. Apparently anything wearing
camoflague was considered to be German by the American soldiers.
