Different Hammers?

When I click on About in Hammer it says I'm running version 4.1 SDK, however the VERC says the latest version is 3.5. What's the difference?

version 3.5 is the latest version for mapping dod1.3. version 4.0 is the source version and 4.1 is the beta version for mapping in dod:s.

VERC should be updating really! I guess http://developer.valvesoftware.com is the new VERC though now.
