Depends on how much physical memory your PC actually has. 512Mb at least for the biggest textures. Usually setting memory useage for photoshop to 80-90% works in most cases.

Ironically, where the setting is varies in each version of Photoshop, but for CS2 its:

Edit->Preferences->Memory and Image Cache

and then increase the ammout allocated.

Nem has said that memory with larger images is a problem and its down to the archaic memory handling in the Photoshop SDK so theres little he can do about it :(

If you STILL can't get it to work, use VTFEdit instead. You'll need to export TGAs from it to edit them, then import them back in to make VTFs. It uses the same code as the photoshop plug-in so the results are identical.

Errr odd. I deleted it because they fixed the small error that stopped DoD showing up in the SDK list so since the recent update it should work fine.

Have you checked your SDK is set to keep itself up-to-date?

Ah ok, i think I found the problem. You need to run the beta sdk to get the files, not the stock one. Add "-beta sdk" to your steam start-up shortcut.

No problem. The SDK went out of Beta this week so you should now find all the DoD:S files when it updates.
