I'm sorry if this is a common problem, but I've been searching high and low for about an hour and a half so far, and have found nothing. Anyway, my problem is that I would like to do a source version of forest, and so I launched the sdk to see if dods mapping was released, and there was not option for it. so I hopped online, and have tracked it down to have missed and update, but I don't understand how. I tried refreshing my sdk content and reseting game configs, but nothing worked. I've tried using the "band aid" fixes, and none of them has worked either. I'm really confused. I tried validating both sdk and dods gcf files. but still no avail. at the moment I'm re downloading the entire sdk gcf out of desperation.... please help

right click on the steam icon on your desktop and select properties, add -sdk beta to the target so it looks like this "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steam.exe" -beta sdk
start steam then the SDK will update and you will have the option to map for DoDS :D
you may need to refresh the sdk content after the update or start DoDS before Hammer will work

I did that and the updating tab comes up. Then i get, "Steam is temporarily unavailable, please try later"
If i take away the -beta sdk everything starts up as usual.
