Some of you may have been waiting a long time for this...
I used very high resolution pictures for the face; to me, they came out great. My favorite has to be the Rifleman only because he looks the most realistic.
My next skin pack will be allied, and if you know a something about WWII history you can guess my theme has something to do with this pack...
I finally had free time to actually make this pack. So...Merry "Holidays."
-Replaces axis skins with much higher-res textures.
-Includes different faces and attire for each class.
-Includes matching sleeve skin.
-Includes normals.

kickass man, the different eye colors really help in seperating them as people in that subliminal way.

I tried giving him a smirk..kinda like "Yeah, I blasted you with a panzershreck, and what?" But it always came out looking like that. So I just left it.

Gotta' love them blue majesties on the assault!..... :] Anyways, that was one way to make them look some what different. It wasn't like skinning allies. With the Waffen SS you have to keep some what similar features whilst making them look different.

I think he looks more like Strodt.
Just a tidbit of info, helmet decals at the time DoDS is set in is a no-no. And I don't think M43s had chinstraps(it'd sure as hell hurt when they get blown off ingame).
I love the dirt and mud on the uniforms, though. Some of the best I've seen.

Not true. Helmet decals were being put on by many units even as late as 1943. And I'm SURE that there were PLENTY of earlier helmets still left around in 1945
The three major WW2 styles of hlemet I am familiar with - M35, M40 and M42 - all had chinstraps (I guess you meant an M42) because.... ready for it?.... the chinstrap attachs to the liner, not the helmet, and the same type liner was used in all helmets. Besides, the chinstrap is actually modelled into the model - it's not just a skin. You can't leave it out
Sorry to sound snippy but if you are going to judge the historical accuracy of someone's work, get your facts straight first :) You know I love you Ben :donrluvs:

The 17th was formed in 1944, but yes, I could see some helmets from the earlier years being put into circulation. You've got me there.
The unit in question was also in Normandy and took part in the defense of Carentan. They were outstandingly pissed that von der Heydte's Fallis retreated from the city because, iirc, they arrived just after that. The SS units in the counterattack(even the ones in Band of Brothers) were 17.SS.
If the chinstrap's modelled on there's not much you can do about it, though:/
Still a good pack, though. Now all I need is a voice_lickenmeinarsch voice command.

Another thing I noticed is that the models don't have the GvB cuffs. I've seen reenactor pictures where the camo uniforms don't have them, so I'm not 100% sure if they were just for regular uniforms or not.

Sniper patch goes on the forearm, above where the cuff title would be.

Mirror images my man. If he put it on the left sleeve, it would also be on the right, but would REALLY look stupid because it would be written backwards.

That's not a sniper patch my friend. That patch means "Artillery gun-layer." That's why it's located where it is. The "signalers" patch is in the wrong place i know. But its such a minor thing that i didnt bother changing it.

Ah, I was thinking thats an odd spot...
but all I saw was the yellow and some green of a Sniper Badge, I. Klasse.
Oh :donrluvs::donrluvs::donrluvs::donrluvs:, that's nice. It's just kinda perfect(even if some very little details may be missing, but you'll surely fix that), great job.
Yes, the realism nazi is fascinated.:carrot:
*edit* Will you also try other camos and/or the 12.SS Hitlerjugend and/or a good Wehrmacht reskin?(You know, with the right colour = more greenish, ranks etc., the M43 field cap)
I would love too s any of those done by you, because I've really never seen somebody who was as professionall as you. Great job again.

Glad you like it. As for another axis pack...it'll be quite sometime. I'm working on another allied pack that matches with these axis.
