Compling Problem

I ran a fast compile of my map yesterday because it was taking 7+ hours before. When I loaded the map, there were lots of errors like drainpipes on the ground, missing props, etc..

I finished the map later in the day, saved it and when I ran compile it took only a few minutes. When I load the "finished" map, it's the same as the one from the fast compile with all the errors/ none of the changes I made showing up.

I tried "saving as" and adding "_b1" but when I try to compile that (in the hopes that it will implement all the changes I made) it says it can't find that file.

Any and all suggestions greatfully accepted..thanx!

p.s. I've set all the compile settings to "normal" again.

I've had this problem a few times myself. I'm still not entirely sure as to how I fixed it in the end, as I tried just about everything. I refer you to this thread: http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58695 which should help.

*Especially check the folder settings in your hammer configuration, see page2 of above thread

Good luck!
