Well, i thought i'd try making some sprites so i started of with something fairly easy. I decided to modify the deathmessage buttsmack icon. So i used Sprite Viewer to save the BMP. I opened it in Paint Shop Pro and removed the face and drew a bit more of the rifle and moved it a bit. After that i saved it and turned it into a sprite. While converting it into a sprite with Sprite Wizard i found out that i had to choose transparency and stuff. I chose to make the last color in the palette transparent. I threw it into my dod/sprites folder and ran a quick test over LAN against some bots. When i finally hit someone i saw that the white had not become transparent: It was the rifles butt, but with a white background around it. So i quit, and tried to save the BMP as different sprites, like additive and all that stuff, but nothing seems to work. What did i do wrong?

Hm... thats strange... I thought it might have been that fact that my palette changeg when i had removed the head and done some tings. I kept the old palette and now it works.

Does anyone want my buttstock smack icon with a little more refinement than the original? Post your e-mail here.
