[MREQ] Ska and others look plz :)

Hey Ska,

Been having some thoughts on map models that need something added to them and stuff ;)

Firstly, are you or someone else out there capable of making most of all of the tank models that look washed out and well not as nice as the 3.1b tanks better? as in higher poly or better textured? This is mainly the blown up tanks they look werid.

Secondly, all tanks that are in spawn areas etc would look kewl if they had commanders in them or dead ones if they're blown up like on Avalanche and Jagd.
Maybe the commanders could be doing handsignals and shouting move out every once in awhile? Or have some sort of crewman in one of the front hatchs maybe?

And last but not least :p

Tanks else where on the maps, for instance the blown up one on the bridge in Forest near the Axis spawn, needs a barrel hanging off it, cause its 'Gone' and I haven't noticed it anywhere nearby, and its also one of these 'washed out' looking tanks to.

The tanks on Chamille (Spelling?) could be modded to have dead crewmen etc on them. And the one by the Axis first tank and the one also in by the Factory flag are perfect for dead crewmen :D
Same with the tank at the middle flag on Donner :D

Just some ideas for modellers out there ;) And I love whats been released so far and are waiting for some more great releases :D

I've also been looking into this, and have a working tank model for Jagd. It has normal soldior in the tank shouting orders and i've also tried to animate him, but they have turned out a bit clockwork. And when a tank gets blown up it changes to a dead model instead.

There are some problems though, with adding the sounds, because these still play weather the tank is normal or destroyed.

You've sure. I've got a few pairs actually.

I'm at school at the moment waiting for my girlfriend to finish her exam, so I'm gonna be here till about 5ish.

You want them in a HL .smd format or MS3d? Do you want the textures with them too?

Yeh no prob's there, i always give credit for anyones work i might use.

By the way i'm having a prob with the anim's, they work fine in a lan game, but they freek out a bit and the main model moves a little off to the side from where it should be when playing online. I'm going to have to play around with it somemore, is there a limit to how many frames a halflife anim can use. Or has anyone got any ideas why that get a bit screwed up when playing online.
