AATrigger Question

Hi all

Well i was working on one of my old maps for DoD (NOT SOURCE) and it was kinda big in megabytes. I tried texturing the whole outsides of the map that couldnt be seen with the AATrigger Texture. This reduced the finished size of my map a whole lot.

Just wondering whether this is the right thing to do, as i know Source mapping has a No-Draw texture i presumed this is the same type of thing

As far as I remember, aatrigger-textures aren't removed from worldbrushes (of course, everything outside of your map will be removed anyway).

Are you using the regular compiletools, or Zoners? If you're using Zoners (as you should), then you have a texture called "null", which is exactly the same as nodraw.

Am using zoners, Will give the Null texture a try.

I compiled it with the AATrigger textures used, and it runs great still.

When i say outside the map i meant like behind buildings and walls, & inside roofs, the parts that cant be seen. Sorry I was a bit vague
