awesome.

Always loved this map @ 1.x but it just dissapeared from the servers :( Looking forward to playing it again, you still going to have the same objectives?

Hameau :S would be awesome.
We loved Hameau in 1.3 and its objectives.
It was one tough map for the axis and a win very satisfying.
An objective based Source map would be a first and we would definitely run it :D

seems to be a nice outpouring of remakes of dod 1.3 maps for source. Keep it up guys! Also good work on this one.

We ran Hameau in our tournament and it was a hit. In fact, I just asked that it be remade for Source a few days ago, so obviously I'm very excited to hear that it's on the way.

But please don't make it a flag capping map! Please do not! Source is getting tired for that specific reason, and a unique map like yours would stand alone in a sea of CTF maps.

I know that you're limited to whatever the SDK gives you, but I hope you can figure something out besides flag caps.

Well personaly I don't think the SDK tools are limited at all, in fact theres almost too much cool stuff to put in! But I do agree with Bo, the flag maps are getting tired. Quick. Have an obj based map and it'd be a winner instantly.

My main concern, for this particular map, is that I didn't think the current SDK/FGD for DoD:S contained options for:

- Bazooka-Destroyable Tanks and/or targets
- A moveable objective Gas Can and/or plans

If the SDK does, in fact, support these, then that is GREAT news!

Not just great news for this map, but for all maps in the future. More options in gameplay style will help the game succeed. But for Hameau's sake, I truly feel that it's value came from being unique in regards to the mission style.

It may not have been on alot of servers, but whenever it was played in our Tourney or simply played for fun on Christian Soldiers, the map was very popular.

Please keep the original dual-objective style!

Looks pimpin so far, can we see some shots with AF though, the textures get pretty blurry

Hm, okay...
i thought that ctf maps are also okay for you.
but you all are right.
since 2003 (first hameau release) there was a big change in the online gaming targets on maps...
i will look what i can do.
perhaps i will make a ctf an a obj version... who knows :)

having a version with objectives and 1 with flags is all good, no reason you cant do it :D

Cool !

Is it really necessary to include the "_src" in the title of the map? Seems redundant since it can only be played on source.

:p
