Hey guys my friend's parents are strict as hell. The only way he can get DOD:S is if u turn the blood off. Anyone know how? Thanks.

It's probably possible to make a blood.vtf that is invisible or just shows dirt puffs.

I coulda sworn that you could turn it off in options. Guess I was wrong! :(

I bet it is too. I would do it for you real quick but I turned my PC off and im going to bed, sorry. (This PC is on downstairs and I decided to run through "the sites" one last time before I continued on to my room.)

Try violence_hblood 0 and violence_hgibs 0. I haven't tried them in DOD S, but they work in HL2.

Edit: Those commands, plus ablood and agibs, turn off the spray, but I can't find a command to turn off blood on the ground and on walls. cl_low_violence doesn't seem to do the trick.

Theres no content lock for DoD Sauce?

Just replace the blood sprite w/ a null sprite and everything is cool.

I already renamed it too. Just stick it in your sprites folder.

I need to find a way to make the blood sprite look like dust and dirt ALA the squibs in SPR.

Check out Jed's blood sprite. Looks just like being shot in SPR. It's what I use.

Why change the sprite? why not just go turn off blood in the advanced options?

If you actually have tried to do that before, you would know that you cant.

Yea, Im totally serious. He wants to ask the game for xmas but doesnt think his parents will let him if there is blood

My parents probably wouldn't have let me play, but they don't know how to turn the computer on :)

Plus their never home. But I'm in college now so I do what I want! I'm a grown up haha.

Just don't use the whole I'm a grown up one too much or they might expect you to pay the bills :(

Where is the DOD:S version?

There isnt. He made this sprite awhile back. I havent gotten into modeling/sprite making for DoD:S yet. So I'm not sure if you can simply rename the sprite to get it to work in DoD:S. Jed will know.
