A reference for craters

Found two references last night while looking for information on just how big a crater from an artillery shell would be, plus how it would look. Interesting reference for those looking for some scale realism.

Nice find and i have a suggestion. Is it possible to merge all the posts about references/resources in one sticky?

Problem with that is a lot of theme links go down quite often, nice find Waldo.

My suggestion would be to set up a wiki with this kind of reference material. I'd personally think it kind of nifty if "the masses" (aka "you guys") would go to the Valve Developer Wiki and start a side-section with reference materials.

I could do it on mapmonger if of course people were keen to help out, even locally host media to ensure these things don't just dissapear.

If some one started up a wiki page for it I'd be happy to add something every now and agian. But I'm not confident enough in creating one myself, it'd turn out horrible :)

What's wrong with Valve's http://developer.valvesoftware.com wiki? Fully backed up, paid for by someone else, maintained by someone else...

I'd rather have everything in the same place. Valve's wiki could definitely benefit from this, and you don't have to make your new wiki/address known which can only add to the success of the venture
