[DoD:S Rel]dod_murky_p1

First release of dod_murky for DoD:S.

I don't get much time to map so I did a quick PORT of the DoD 1.3 map using the beta SDK, hence the _p1 suffix.

This is a single file that includes all. Just un-zip to your maps folder.

Things to be done:
1) 3D Sky Box
2) Displacment surfaces & Alpha texturing
3) HDR
4) Other really funky Source stuff
5) Fix any errors found

Nice job haircut, just played this map in 3v3 like 2 weeks ago for 1.3 =D

EDIT: there's a sticky spot in the water, if you fall behind the wooden posts, you will get stuck.

cannot download using the link you posted, I tried mardy mouse site, I get the same problem. Is it just me? or is there a problem.

The only people that have problems are usually IP banned from the site. Not saying you are but sometime I get pissed off with hackers and ban a whole range of IPs .. gotta love the Brazilians for trying to hack PHP-Nuke websites:D

Can you see the main site at all?


NOTE: I noticed another bug with the map. For some reason you can sometimes run straight across the water at either cliff edge ... wierd fault, dunno why as the cliff is stright down at that point and sometimes when a new round starts its ok :confused:. Decals look wierd at times as well ...

Yes I can see the site, and do everything except get your map, but that don't matter now thanks, I downloaded it from another server

I'll check DX9 ... as I use DX8.1 most of the time :)

Spawn protection is the same as the original DoD 1.3 map :D

I got the same prob looks like a range of ips are banned that includes mine. Been like that for ages :/

tbh, I didn't care for the 1.3 version...but boy howdy what a difference physics makes. :D The only thing is, when I inevitably get blown upward on the bridge, me body slams into the bloody skybox. If wishes came true, I'd wish that it'd be higher right there.

We've been having a blast with this one on FNF DoD. Thanks haircut.

I also love where an MG can now set-up ... I went around most of the map checking it and thought ...wow ... this will be fun for an MG :D
